Weekend in the Midwest

I have extended my stay here in the Hoosier state because I am having too much fun. Also, I'm really enjoying how much I can drink here for much cheaper. However, gas for the car is making it all equal out.

Comparison of bar tab:

Indiana/New York

2 bottles miller light $5.00 / $16.00

1 Grey Goose and soda $4.00 / $11.00

TOTAL $9.00 / $27.00

so true, except come Sunday, they don't sell alcohol. It's like Indiana goes back to the 1920's

I think you have been going to the wrong bars in New York. I can usually get things for only 25% more in the city, at the right place. Hell some bars even sell 40s for 5 bucks.

You can buy a herd of goats in Patagonia for about $5 as well. I plan on retiring to Patagonia, buying ten thousand head of goat. I will breed them for agressivity and intelligence, then mold them into a super-goat army, and install myself as king of the land.

gotta love the mid west! I lived in CA for years and it was horrible trying to wait tables and make ends meet after two beers at a bar!

Pretty sweet, isn't it? I used to live in Indiana. Now I live in Memphis. It's no New York, but I definitely miss those old beer prices.

[Congrats on the Blog of Note!]

Must move back to Midwest.

I don't even care which state the Hoosier state is . That's a drinking bargain.

In the South, to get a discount, we distill our own booze in the bathtub.

Good job on making to the blogger of notes left. About everything is more expensive in New York. I live pretty close to Indiana. I noticed that one of posts said you were having your ten year class reunion, I had my this year too. Does it make you feel old?

Wishing You Good Health And Plenty Of Wealth,

Sounds like Las Vegas prices. The price for the Grey Goose was not to bad. Keep up the good work.

I congratulate you by your blog is very good, i like to know to me as you could get to develop it so well.I live in Argentina but my dream is to get to completely cross the night of New York some day. Sometimes you proved our typical beer of Argentina? It calledQuilmes, if you can get it is very rich and delicious, you are not going away to regret. Chau, luck.

Just moved up here to NYC from the midwest, and yeah, it's all about sticker shock. I've had to reduce my blackout routine from four nights a week to just one or two -- maybe three -- so I can make enjoy the privilege of making a $1,900-a-month rent check.

Congrats on being a noteworthy blogger! Your aces in my book.
